My name is Joey Popa, and I can now officially call myself a photographer, in the beginning of the school year I chose to take Digital Photography for two main reasons, one, for my technology credit, and two, an easy A. Coming into this class I thought that all I had to do was take pictures on a camera and then I would pass, I was totally wrong. The first day of school our teacher, Mr. Bush, told us to get out our assigned cameras and take some pictures, is that all, I thought in my head, well not exactly, when we were done taking our pictures our next step was to put them on something I never thought I would ever have to use, Adobe Bridge, what a day that was. From that day on I didn't know what to expect from this class, there was always something knew in store everyday in class, sometimes I even felt like giving up, especially when we learned how to use Photoshop and its tools, now that was a living nightmare. But there were even times that I enjoyed trying something knew. In our Shooting Assignments we were assigned each week to take pictures of a specific topic, In each of those assignments I always tried to make each weeks picture better then the one before it, from then on I began to enjoy the process of learning something new and exciting everyday. Looking back at this trimester, I've learned so much about what Digital Photography means and how I can use it in the future, wether it was learning what Photoshop does to a photo to make it look magical, or how Shutter and Aperture can be used to set your camera in ways you never knew it could, to even the fundamentals of working with a camera and its basic tools to create a wonderful photo.I can truly say that I have improved as a photographer and as a student. Here are some of my first (worst) photos. I can say that I've improved a lot as a photographer, here are some of my my best photos.
